The Opportunity:
The Service Dispatcher plays a vital role interacting with customers and acts as a support to our Contractors and Service Technician teams. This position is responsible for assisting customers with service requests, coordinating equipment installations, setting up fixed assets on customer accounts, purchase orders, invoicing and payment of vendors.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch in-house technicians and contractors as required.
Supply and schedule work for in-house technicians and contractors.
Answer and/or resolve customer inquiries about service status, products and concerns.
Contact customers as required and handle all other service inquiries.
Work with other associates to ensure optimum customer service.
Set up fixed assets on customer accounts, such as water heaters.
Create Purchase Order Requisitions.
Open/close accounts as needed.
Process account adjustments/write offs.
Make payment arrangements.
Manages various service-related reports.
Support the processing of daily batches for technicians and contractors.
Support processing of in-house gas technician payroll.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong verbal & written communication skills with a passion for customer service.
Experience with running point of sale equipment and computer programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to multi-task, stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability to different workloads that are seasonally driven.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of heating products would be an asset.
Experience with internal billing system applications is considered an asset.
