In the position of

Service Dispatcher,

reporting to the

Service Manager

, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and assigning the work orders to the appropriate Service Technician to ensure the efficient operations of repairs.

You will be accountable for:

Review and process incoming work orders and/or job assignments from customers and Service Advisors, and assign repairs to the appropriate technician. Track the progress of repairs to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner. Assist with resolving any issues or challenges that arise during work orders. Book the appropriate technicians for the hours worked on the operations performed. Informing the technician and department management of adjustments as they occur. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining open lines of communication, addressing customer concerns and ensuring customers are regularly updated regarding the repair of their vehicle. Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the Service Department and Parts Department to ensure seamless operations and efficient service delivery. Comply with the Service Department's safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Knowledgeable in the Automotive Industry. Previous experience in Automotive Parts and/or as a Service Advisor would be considered an asset. Valid Driver's Licence. Efficiency is a must as multitasking is a part of daily operations. Knowledge of automotive systems in general. Ability to manage time, set goals, and prioritize tasks. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment.
