Black & McDonald\'s Southern Ontario Service team is growing! If you are searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Service Analyst is located in Toronto (GTA), ON and reports directly to the Manager, Client Services & Key Accounts.

This position plays a critical role in the support and growth of Lifecycle Asset Management, Client Reporting and Analytics within the Toronto Service team. Key elements of the role include assisting with analyzing, researching, and reporting on lifecycle/capital plans for various clients.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the overall development of lifecycle asset management and reporting within the department.
  • Manage the departments asset tracking system; creation, monitoring, and retirement of database assets.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate infield facility equipment condition inspections.
  • Provide lifecycle/capital planning recommendations and reports.
  • Provide budget estimation of mechanical projects, utilizing various resources.
  • Support the strategic analytics and reporting on client history and trend activity, including spending patterns.
  • Generate, review, and understand reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation.
  • Develop solutions to customer challenges with a large emphasis on presentation of reporting and data analytics.
  • Work with operations staff to develop process improvements to strengthen asset management data.
  • Interact with clients, office and field staff, engineers, third party vendors, and industry representatives.
  • Review the accuracy of information provided and responds to requests from management and both internal and external clients.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal and external clients.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Building Science, or Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in lifecycle management, energy management, data analytics, or engineering environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, extensive experience with pivot tables.
  • JDE experience an asset.
  • Experience in building science including envelope, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and civil.
  • Familiar with RSMeans and experience with costing/estimating.
  • Experience with condition assessment of building systems.
  • Excellent people, team, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex situations.
  • Intermediate analytical skills.
  • Valid driver\'s license.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
