Duties



Greet customers warmly upon arrival and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Explain repair estimates clearly, including necessary repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, tire services, suspension adjustments, alignments, and diesel engine repairs Write detailed service orders and communicate technical information effectively to both customers and technicians Coordinate with the service team to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work Upsell additional services by identifying customer needs for auto diagnostics, auto estimating, or vehicle maintenance opportunities such as shocks & struts or air brake systems Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during payment transactions Maintain thorough records of service history and customer interactions for future reference Assist in promoting automotive repair services including auto body repair, auto sales opportunities, and specialized repairs like automatic transmissions or diesel engines Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures Foster positive relationships with customers by providing transparent updates on vehicle status and recommended services

Skills



Proven dealership experience or extensive auto service management background Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust Experience in auto sales or promoting automotive products is a plus Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspensions, alignments, tire services, shocks & struts, air brakes, diesel engines, and auto body repairs Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Mechanical experience or mechanic background preferred for better understanding of technician workflows Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping
