Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Serveur(euse) de restaurant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food service operations. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, specifically Micros POS. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to recipes and safety guidelines. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.

Skills

Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and payment processing. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Previous experience in food service or the restaurant industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in sanitation practices within a kitchen or dining setting is beneficial.
