The Captain's Boil Vaughan is currently hiring part-time and full-time servers with 1-year experience. Must have a Smart serve certification, be available day or evening, weekdays and weekends. Must have customer service experience and good communication skills. Must be a team player, be efficient, have a great personality, and work in a high pace environment.

Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, demonstrating excellent customer service skills while ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Responsibilities



Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner. Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience. Accurately input orders into the POS system, specifically Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately through cashiering duties. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring quality standards are met. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent guest services. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.

Skills



Proven experience in the food industry with a solid understanding of restaurant operations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable. Knowledge of sanitation practices within the kitchen environment is essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
