Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier/Bartender to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Sukhothai is a staple in Toronto Thai cuisine and we're looking to expand our team in the Canary district.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. This role involves providing exceptional dining experiences by serving food and beverages, handling transactions efficiently, and ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus, taking their orders accurately. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Prepare drinks Operate the POS system to process customer orders and payments efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards. Assist in upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages. Monitor dining areas for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly. Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices. Prepare and handle takeout orders while assisting guests and delivery drivers with their orders.

Requirements

Smart Serve Certificate Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this role.
