Position Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and adaptable

Server

to join our dining services team at our independent seniors living community. This casual part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and contributing to a warm, welcoming, and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner Take meal orders and serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately Ensure tables are properly set and dining areas are clean, organized, and inviting Assist with light food preparation and plating as needed Perform cleaning duties including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and maintaining sanitation standards in the dining area Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members Support residents with special dietary needs or mobility challenges Be adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of the community and team Maintain a respectful and positive attitude toward residents and coworkers Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required

Qualifications:

Previous serving or customer service experience preferred Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with seniors Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Willingness to take on cleaning tasks and support other team members as needed

Working Conditions:

Casual part-time hours, with shifts scheduled based on operational needs Standing and walking for extended periods Light lifting and bending may be required Warm, community-oriented environment
