Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, specifically Micros POS, and relay them to the kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu information to guests, including daily specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling menu items. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely order preparation. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with health regulations. Assist in food preparation as needed during busy periods or special events.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred; restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
