Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food handling guidelines. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience preferred, with a background in the food industry or hospitality. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage; training will be provided if necessary. Must possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
