Namaste Bistro Sackville is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic DAYTIME Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will be available to work opening shifts on weekdays (perhaps 1-2 evenings), possess a passion for hospitality, interest in international cuisine, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanour. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system (experience with Touch Bistro is an asset). Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Assist in training new staff on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.

Experience

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, with a focus on restaurant experience. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation regulations is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus.
