Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience. Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Assist in training new staff members on best practices in food service and guest services.

Requirements

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in food service or hospitality roles. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and orders simultaneously. Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations. Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Experience with cashiering duties is an asset. Familiarity with sanitation practices within the food industry is essential.
