Overview

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including drink specials, to provide recommendations to guests. Operate the POS system efficiently for order entry and payment processing. Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations while serving drinks and snacks. Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.

Skills

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in a bartending or food service role. Proficiency with Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions. Basic math skills for cash handling and drink measurements. Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service guidelines. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
