The position: You will be an important member of the team, taking ownership of your own work. The role will consist of the following:

Completion of financial statements and corporate tax returns from source documents Preparation of personal tax returns Preparation or review of various tax forms including T4s and T5s Preparation of review and audit engagements (minimal audits with-in a given year) Preparation of personal tax returns from source documents

You will be completing a variety of file engagements and effectively building strong client relationships by demonstrating a high degree of initiative, excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong technical expertise in accounting and tax.

Preference will be given to candidates with previous mid-sized to small public accounting experience who are familiar and comfortable acting as a Senior on audit, review, and compilation engagements . The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Two to three years' public accounting experience minimum, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm;

Confidence preparing audit, review, and compilation engagements;

Hand's-on experience preparing financial statements and corporate income tax returns;

Familiar with software including CaseWare, Taxprep, CCH IFirm, and Microsoft Office,

Experience preparing personal tax returns

Possesses strong written and interpersonal communication skills dealing with a variety of clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $60,000.00-$100,000 per year dependent on ability and experience.

Monday to Friday (Overtime expected in personal tax season)

8 hour shift (flexibility possible)

Possibility for Hybrid model following probation period
