Our Toronto Office is currently seeking a Trackwork Engineer to join our Americas Rail Systems Team based in Toronto.

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Designing track alignment, track and special trackwork including analysis, studies, preparation of drawings and other technical documents.

\xc2\xb7 Integrating track designs with the overall design of the railroad system,

\xc2\xb7 Development track technical specification

\xc2\xb7 Development of track maintenance and rehabilitation plans and programs.

\xc2\xb7 Proactively engaging with clients and contractors to prepare high quality, technically efficient and cost-effective project solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients and engineering partners.

\xc2\xb7 Preparing and reviewing high quality reports.

\xc2\xb7 Support the technical, commercial and soft skills development of staff.

\xc2\xb7 Develop compelling solutions and presenting to clients; through formal procurement and in solution-based approaches.

\xc2\xb7 Share knowledge and best practice to develop the overall capability of the Rail Systems team

\xc2\xb7 Contribute to and support business development activities including preparing proposals.

Qualifications

The successful candidate would be considered as trackwork specialist with the ability to manage and execute trackwork design tasks.

\xc2\xb7 Bachelors / Masters degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with some knowledge of ballasted and ballastless (direct fixation, low vibration, imbedded and floating slab) track and special trackwork designs.

\xc2\xb7 Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario

\xc2\xb7 8+ year experience in trackwork design,

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrable understanding of the implications of digital and data in the planning and development of trackwork designs

\xc2\xb7 Experience of Design Build Procurement would be advantageous

\xc2\xb7 Commercial/finance awareness

\xc2\xb7 Connections within the rail industry would be advantageous.

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of relevant Canadian, North American and International standards.

\xc2\xb7 The ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, manage deadlines and exceptional organization skills required for our rapidly changing environment.

\xc2\xb7 Effective presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.

\xc2\xb7 Eligible to work in the U.S. and Canada.
