About the Role:
We're currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Refrigeration Design Engineer to join our engineering group. This role will be responsible for engineering and designing customer orders. These duties include capacity calculation, component selection, the use of AutoCAD and other related software to design parts, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings. The individual will work closely with industrial engineering, production, and lab technicians to ensure efficiency and resolve any problems with customer orders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Engineering customer order: including capacity calculation, refrigeration component selection. For some special orders, new parts design using AutoCAD and Solid Edge is needed, including sheet metals, tubes, electrical wiring diagrams and detailed assembly drawings
Responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines, ensuring accuracy and quality, and its timely release to production/ manufacturing department.
Solving Production problems: Working with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Department to optimize the material usage and assembly process, and to solve any problems.
Research and Development project works: Including heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculation, new components and parts selection, cost optimization, new products design, preparing all drawings, and setting up bills of materials.
Research and development lab work: Including lab tests, lab equipment selection or design and equipment set-up
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:
Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software
3+ years of experience working with sheet metal design
3-5+ Refrigeration background and/ or experience is considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficiency in computer software and programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
