A global, well-established OEM serving the mining, resources, and bulk material handling sectors is seeking an experienced
Senior Technical Sales Engineer
to drive long-term strategic growth across Canada & North America.
With more than 38 years in engineered equipment, aftermarket parts, and services, the company supports clients across Australia and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to lead major business development initiatives and influence market positioning across Canada, the USA, and Mexico.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
Identify and develop new end-user accounts in mining and mineral processing across Canada and North America
Build and strengthen relationships with EPCMs, consultants, and contractors to increase product exposure and early project specification
Conduct structured client visits and maintain visibility on long-term project pipelines
Identify early-stage opportunities (DFS/PFS/study phase) to influence project scope and secure package positioning
Host technical lunch & learns, workshops, and capability presentations
Work closely with proposals, engineering, and estimating teams on sales strategy and early RFQ responses
Develop structured account plans and sales strategies tailored to client needs and regional standards
Provide technical-commercial support through construction and execution phases until project award
Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and new project announcements throughout North America
Localise customer specifications and operational requirements, including regulatory or climatic considerations
Maintain accurate pipeline visibility using CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
Drive outbound engagement and targeted marketing campaigns in partnership with internal teams
Collaborate with senior regional leadership on long-term growth planning
Offer sales leadership and mentoring as the regional team grows
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows
About You
You will bring:
8-12+ years' experience in capital equipment sales or business development for technical projects
Proven experience engaging with EPCMs and end-users in mining, minerals, or industrial sectors
Strong understanding of North American mining markets
Experience in sales strategy development, pipeline tracking, and account planning
Proficiency using CRM platforms (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
Strong technical credibility with excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex project-based opportunities
Strong organisational and planning abilities
Bilingual English/French (preferred)
Resilient, adaptable, and culturally aware approach
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline (strongly preferred)
Business or commerce qualifications (an asset)
Valid driver's licence and ability to travel across North America
