What will you work on? Reporting to the Director, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting, this role will support the external financial reporting process as well as manage the preparation and assessment of all technical accounting issues, business transactions and MA processes. In addition, this role will support the VP, Financial Reporting Investor Relations with quarterly reporting requirements. This is a dynamic role that will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to support process improvement changes and be an integral member of a team seeking continuous improvement and best in class financial reporting.
How will you create impact?

• Support compliance with regulatory requirements, including researching and providing guidance to the business on new technical accounting and regulatory issues. Prepare the interpretation and application of complex accounting standards for the Company, including writing and reviewing research papers, recommending appropriate accounting treatment, and working with various business groups to assess underlying issues and facts.
• Work with various finance teams throughout the global business to implement new accounting standards.
• Ownership of technical accounting areas including the impairment analysis, accounting for stock-based compensation, lease accounting, etc. and ownership of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s quarterly and annual Consolidated Financial Statements including note support, MDA, press releases and other financial reports as needed.
• Support the Company\xe2\x80\x99s MA process including due diligence, accounting treatment and implications, disclosures, and post-acquisition integration.
• Compilation of quarterly reporting packages for investor relations (QA, supplemental investor slides, etc.)
• Support the continuous improvement of processes including external financial reporting and Company disclosures and support the internal and external audit processes.
• Work in partnership with the Director and VP, Global Taxation to ensure legal entity reporting and accounting for tax-related matters are properly assessed, reported, and disclosed both internally and externally.

How will you fit into the team?

• Ability to support projects under the Company\xe2\x80\x99s digital transformation initiatives and supporting the internal and external audit processes
• Ability to partner with other cross functional partners while demonstrating experience in implementing new processes and systems

What are your skills and experience?

• CPA or CA designation
• 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience either from a public accounting firm or public company
• Strong financial literacy and financial writing skills (financial statements, MDA, press releases, etc.) strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise (IFRS preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel (pivots, v-lookups, and advanced formulas)
• Experience with SAP/BPC
