We are continually searching for great talent; individuals who possess a deep commitment to the customers and markets we serve. We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance department to support and execute on Corporate and Indirect Tax Reporting needs and initiatives. This will require you to use your tax technical and analytical expertise to review and assess financial records and make relevant recommendations to minimize Company\xe2\x80\x99s tax exposure. Attention to detail, being a self-starter and ability to balance multiple priorities is crucial. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting.

HERE\'S HOW YOU\'LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Review and prepare support required for corporate, commodity and premium tax filings.
  • Prepare tax provisions (monthly, quarterly, annually) and corresponding journal entries.
  • Analyze and review tax reconciliations.
  • Assist in analysis and implementation of various tax planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist in managing tax audits.
HERE\'S WHAT YOU\'LL BRING:
  • Minimum 3 years of similar work experience (preferably at a mid-large accounting firm or financial institution).
  • CPA, CA preferred (CPA designation required).
  • Methodical and logical problem solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Proactive, with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with the other Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to multitask, meet all deadlines, solve problems and recommend solutions.
  • Superior technical accounting skills.
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships; work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, influence decisions and acceptance for recommended initiatives, strategies, and solutions.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Willing to work on complex projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually (with minimal supervision).
