Advantage Accounting is currently seeking a

Senior Tax Accountant

to join our growing team

at our Windsor, Ontario office

. This is an

in-office position (not remote)

. We are looking for a professional with a CPA designation and strong experience in T1 personal tax returns, ideally including cross-border and U.S. tax filing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review T1 personal income tax returns, including high-net-worth individuals, professionals, and self-employed clients Manage cross-border and U.S. personal tax filings (1040, 1040NR, FBAR, etc.) Identify tax planning opportunities and assist in implementing tax strategies Liaise with clients and tax authorities regarding tax matters and inquiries Mentor and support junior tax staff during peak seasons Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Canadian and U.S. tax laws Ensure compliance with firm policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications

CPA designation is required 5-6 years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm Strong experience preparing and reviewing T1 personal tax returns, including for cross-border and U.S. taxpayers In-depth knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and filing requirements Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
