We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team, bringing expertise in financial management, operational advising, and ERP systems to support our continued growth.
Job Summary
The Senior Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic guidance to the Owner and General Manager, and manage key customer reporting processes. This role requires hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for financial and operational functions, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient processes, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of 3PL financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
Lead monthly financial reviews with the Owner and General Manager.
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Provide bank information as needed for financial institutions.
Analyze capitalized freight monthly and adjust as required.
Prepare monthly Guaranteed Sales information and representative commissions.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries (payroll, bank, VISA, etc.).
Liaise with the Head Accountant to provide necessary financial information.
Operations Advisor
Advise the Owner and General Manager on the overall financial health of the business.
Offer strategic solutions to improve operational and financial performance.
Participate in discussions to guide general business direction and strategic planning.
Key 3PL Customer Reporting
Develop and maintain processes to accumulate support for chargebacks.
Direct Accounts Payable (AP) on capturing freight and supplies charges for recoupment.
Post invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and prepare backup documentation for charges.
Projects
Review and recommend enhancements to the current financial statement format.
Develop and lead the annual budget process.
Create monthly forecasts, including cash flow projections.
Develop financial and assist with operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Implement monthly reconciliation of 3PL customer transactions.
Support operational initiatives, such as freight quoting, as needed.
Payroll
Process bi-weekly payroll, including summarizing and posting entries.
Maintain employee information with third-party payroll provider (Rise).
Monitor and manage the employee benefits program.
Tax Filings
Prepare and file sales tax (HST/Provincial).
Manage WSIB and EHT filings.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the 3PL or logistics industry.
5+ years of experience with payroll processing and tax filings (HST, WSIB, EHT).
5+ years of experience in developing and implementing financial and operational KPIs.
5+ years of experience in Canadian tax regulations and compliance
Comfortable working 100 percent in the office
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations), SAP or similar ERP software for financial reporting, invoicing, and operational processes.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent designation preferred.
Familiarity with 3PL customer reporting, chargebacks, and freight cost analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with third-party payroll platforms (e.g., Rise).
Background in developing cash flow forecasts and budgeting processes.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for data analysis.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification (e.g., Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant).

8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
