About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to join our team, providing customer engagement and expert-level technical support for our wireless network solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in 5GNR and LTE technologies, strong architectural knowledge of wireless networks, and hands-on experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to customers and executives, along with robust networking and troubleshooting capabilities.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Deliver advanced technical support for 5GNR, LTE, and Wi-Fi network deployments, resolving complex issues related to RAN, core network, and end-to-end connectivity.
Perform in-depth network performance analysis, diagnose connectivity bottlenecks, and conduct packet-level troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark.
Configure and optimize network switching infrastructure, including VLANs, static routes, and QoS policies, to ensure seamless solution integration.
Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize wireless network architectures for 5GNR+WIFi and LTE use cases.
Support cloud-based applications by applying expertise in communication protocols (e.g., HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, WebSocket), firewall rules, NAT, and port configurations.
Leverage monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Grafana) to proactively identify, analyze, and resolve system performance issues.
Articulate technical solutions and root-cause analyses to technical stakeholders, customers, and executives with clarity and precision.
Document technical issues, configurations, and resolutions in detailed reports to enhance knowledge sharing and support workflows.
Provide hands-on support during customer lab and field trials, including system integration, testing, and performance validation.
Lead the planning and execution of customer trials, ensuring meticulous preparation, successful deployment, and comprehensive outcome documentation.
Stay abreast of emerging trends in wireless networks, cloud technologies, and virtualization to drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in technical support, network engineering, or systems integration within wireless networking.
Deep expertise in 5GNR technologies including gNodeB, 5GC, and end to end 5G network architecture with strong foundational knowledge of LTE systems such as eNodeB and EPC.
5GNR/LTE protocol knowledge with the ability to debug device issues.
Advanced understanding of wireless network protocols (e.g., S1AP, NGAP, RRC, NAS) and their integration with cloud and edge solutions.
Proficiency in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for network function virtualization (NFV).
Knowledge of cloud communication protocols (e.g., HTTP/HTTPS, MQTT, WebSocket) and their application in device-to-cloud interactions.
Strong expertise in networking fundamentals, including firewall policies, NAT, port mapping, VLAN segmentation, and static routing.
Proven experience in network troubleshooting, packet sniffing, and analysis using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, or iperf.
Hands-on proficiency in configuring managed switches for VLANs, QoS, and basic routing without requiring advanced protocols like BGP or OSPF.
Familiarity with observability and analytics tools (e.g., Grafana, Elastic, Spark) for network and system monitoring is highly desirable.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Willingness to travel up to 30% for field support, customer trials, and on-site troubleshooting.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
