Overview The Senior Structural Engineer will develop and manage projects for the construction of new or modification to existing commercial, industrial and institutional buildings & structures, ensuring conformance with building codes. Perform responsible, professional level foundation & structural analysis, building and structural inspections. A heavy portion of this role will be focused on infrastructure, rail and LRT projects. Project experience in this area is expected. Most of the Things You\xe2\x80\x99ll Work on:

• Participate in the design and review of drawings and specifications and in the analysis of various structures projects (building structures and foundations, industrial structures, Infrastructure for heavy rail & LRT, industrial and civil structures)
• Conduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes
• Provide direction to, and work with, Engineering & CAD staff

Qualifications
You\'ll Need To Have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil Engineering, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in structural design and heavy construction projects
• Experience with complex construction projects involving P3, Infrastructure and/or underground LRT and subway
• Registered P.Eng or eligible to be registered with EGBC (BC)
• Technical competency in the design of structural building systems
• Knowledge and understanding of structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.pro, SAP2000 is expected
• Experience with Microsoft Office and software such as Navisworks, Bluebeam expected
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant design standards and codes
• Strong project management and coordination skills with a strong ability to provide leadership and motivation to project structural teams. You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment and will be expected to demonstrate a collaborative attitude in working with members of the Team
• Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele - Internal and External
• Excellent work ethic and desire to succeed
• Effective communication in the English language (verbal and written)
