Senior Specialist, Communications:

Kenvue is currently recruiting for Senior Specialist, Communications. This position reports into to the Director, Communications and is based Markham Ontario.

What will you do

The Senior Specialist is responsible for the creation and execution of a communications strategy that amplifies our leadership team\'s voice and offers a consistent narrative to our Consumer Health colleagues across multiple functions and campuses. This important role will serve as the key connection point between the overarching corporate and brand strategic priorities, ensuring that internal and external communications are aligned, consistent with our Global and North America strategy and linked to our beloved brands.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the corporate communications calendar, timelines and metrics, report out regularly to help the team measure success of various campaigns, and support preparing for senior leadership.
  • Create internal communications to share stories, highlights and important information across various channels (email. Intranet, on-site digital signage, etc.)
  • Collaborate with various teams to plan and execute employee engagement opportunities, like Town Hall meetings and events to celebrate DEI.
  • Have a regular pulse on media relations, monitoring the media for key stories about our company and our brands.
  • Partner with Brand leaders to develop and execute strategic PR and earned media plans for our brands, that deliver on KPIs and drive brand growth.
  • Work closely with our Consumer Care Team and Customer teams to create messaging/FAQs for our consumers and customers.
  • Support the team with talent acquisition, onboarding and training new team members (including our Communications Intern)
  • Ensure connectivity with our Manufacturing Facility in Canada so that all communications plans and events are inclusive of all colleagues and campuses to enhance employee experience and organization culture.
  • Drive logistics and execution of communications activities and events, including Canada company-wide town halls, virtual connects & leader meetings (including support for North America & Global leaders when visiting Canada), through planning for on-site catering, room bookings, coordination with facilities, technology, and the implementation of relevant measurement approaches and surveys to gauge employee engagement.
  • Provide counsel and enforce governance and consistency related to our corporate and branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our Consumer Care Centre (CCC) to create and updated responses and key messages to guide call center responses to consumers.
  • Provide counsel to Brand teams on strategic external partnerships that ladder up to our Global areas of focus.

  • Experience developing internal communications strategies for large, matrix organizations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills as well as experience driving results and influencing without authority.
  • Demonstrate a global mentality with knowledge, appreciation, and awareness of a matrix organization (Corporate and Consumer Health), operating flexibly from a global, regional and local level.
  • Results driven strategic problem solver; ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and implement change expediently.
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions and demonstrate sound judgment based on compiled information and track record of successful internal and external communications achievements.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories, with superior written, oral, and visual communications abilities.
  • A go-getter and team player with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and take ownership. Able to shift gears and be agile. Strong multi-tasking skills and the aptitude to effectively motivate the team and internal partners to meet deadlines are crucial. Willingness to think beyond the tried and true to devise innovative ways to communicate, while aligning with goals and objectives.
  • Solid functional understanding of digital and social media platforms, including using analytics to improve performance.
  • Strong Project Management skills and experience in managing multiple projects within time and budget.
  • Possess impeccable command of language, including strong skills in grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary, clarity, brevity, engagement, proofreading and revising.
  • A willingness to learn and innovate value-added means for meeting tactical and strategic job requirements
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and work independently.
  • Flexible and resourceful with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Calm under pressure with an ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines, as part of a team.
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and frequent changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs of work and delegate.
  • Proficient in office tools - including SharePoint, Microsoft Office 365 or similar digital content development and management platforms.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with digital tools, including photo editor, photography/videography, photoshop, graphic design
  • Bilingualism in English and French
