We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety standards, and support the head chef in maintaining high-quality culinary standards. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items with precision and creativity
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency of dishes served
Manage food handling procedures in compliance with food safety standards and regulations
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Serve as a leader during service hours, providing guidance and support to team members
Maintain excellent communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
Uphold hospitality standards by delivering excellent customer service and fostering a positive team environment
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or as a Sous Chef within the food industry
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food handling, serving, and hospitality best practices
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and promote teamwork
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management
A passion for culinary excellence and customer satisfaction
Prior experience working in a restaurant setting is preferred; hospitality experience is highly valued
