We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Fig & Feta Greek Eatery & Market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, along with experience in restaurant management and team leadership. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety standards are met, and managing kitchen operations effectively. This role requires a commitment to excellence in the food industry and a dedication to providing exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities
Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management
Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling, and safety standards
Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff
Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred
