Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced

Senior Software Developer

for our SaaS platform,

Jambo(TM) (www.jambo.cloud) - the fastest and easiest stakeholder engagement and consultation software. Working as a technical leader within our team of developers, support staff, and product managers, you will architect and develop customized software to help grow and scale Jambo. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring team members and driving the technical direction of the product.

What you will do



Architect and Design:

Lead the design and architecture of scalable software components to ensure Jambo scales effectively.

Technical Leadership:

Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define long-term technical roadmaps and deliverables.

Mentorship:

Provide guidance and conduct code reviews for intermediate and junior developers to ensure high-quality code and professional growth.

Development:

Develop strategies to ensure production levels and quality standards are met while producing high-quality code.

Innovation:

Focus on market fit and develop product improvements that anticipate future customer needs.

Problem Solving:

Take the lead in troubleshooting complex customer service requests and resolving critical platform issues.

Process Improvement:

Drive backlog review sessions, scrum ceremonies, and planning meetings while establishing and sharing best practices.

Quality Assurance:

Oversee quality assurance tests and participate in after-hours activities during platform emergencies or maintenance.

What you bring



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:



A post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field).

Minimum 7+ years

of client-side web development experience: JavaScript, HTML, CSS Angular (preferred), React, Vue Templating engines NPM

Minimum 7+ years

of server-side development experience in at least one of the following technologies: Node.js (TypeScript) with Hapi (preferred) or Express Java - Spring C++, C#, .Net

Other Core Technical Requirements:



Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs. Proficiency with PostgreSQL (or other relational databases). Experience with GraphQL and Prisma. Proven experience in software architecture and designing complex systems. Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Extensive documentation experience for complex software architectures.

Desirable Experience:



Experience with AI/ML assisted coding tools and AI/ML projects Leading development teams using agile methodologies. Application deployment into Cloud/Containerized environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate). PL/SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL. NoSQL database technologies. Integrated development environments such as Visual Studio Code and Version control software (Git/Bitbucket). Establishing automated build and testing processes (CI/CD).
