Position: Senior Software Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Our client, a leading fintech company, is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their growing team. This role will play a key part in designing and building high-quality, scalable software solutions that power critical systems in Canada's financial sector.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead the design and development of new applications from the ground up using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Contribute to system design discussions (functional and non-functional), ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior developers.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to keep systems modern and efficient.
Key requirements:
- Strong expertise with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
- Experience in system design (scalability, performance, and architecture considerations).
- Front end knowledge (Angular).
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum development; Scrum Master certification is an asset.
- Exposure to Cloud (Azure or AWS).
- Proven ability to lead development efforts across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
