Maguire Metals is building a serious growth engine in steel roofing, siding, trims, and accessories -- and we need a true sales pro to help us scale it.
This role is for someone who can build relationships, hunt smart, close clean, and protect margin. You'll own a book of business, develop new contractor relationships, and turn quotes into orders with speed and confidence.

What you'll own:
1) Contractor + Builder Growth
Prospect and win new contractor accounts (roofers, siding crews, builders, GCs)
Expand existing accounts through consistent follow-up and proactive support
Become the go-to person for contractors who value speed, accuracy, and reliability
2) Quoting + Closing
Quote jobs quickly and accurately (materials, trims, accessories, fasteners)
Follow up like a professional (no "just checking in" energy)
Close orders, confirm specs, and prevent rework/returns with tight communication
3) Relationship Management
Build loyalty through trust, responsiveness, and straight talk
Handle issues calmly and fast -- solutions-first, no drama
Coordinate with production, dispatch, and the yard so customers feel taken care of
4) Margin + Deal Discipline
Sell value, not price
Protect margin while still making the customer feel like they won
Use terms, bundles, and smart incentives to drive repeat business
5) Field Presence
Regular site/contractor visits, occasional job walk-throughs
Be visible in the community and plugged into who's building what
What "great" looks like (first 90 days)
You've built a clean pipeline and started converting it
Existing accounts trust you and call you first
Quotes are fast, accurate, and converting at a strong rate
You're creating repeatable sales habits (follow-up system, visit cadence, deal notes)
The team feels your impact because ops isn't getting blindsided
Tech-savvy and resourceful - able to build sales decks, generate and send quotes by email, and support our social media presence with strong digital follow-through.
Must-haves (non-negotiable)
Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally contractor/building products (or adjacent)
You can prospect confidently (calls, drop-ins, referrals, jobsite relationships)
Strong follow-up habits -- you don't let deals "die on the vine"
Clear communication and emotional control under pressure
Valid driver's license + comfortable being out in the field
Nice-to-haves
Experience selling: steel roofing/siding, building materials, fasteners, trim packages, windows/doors, lumber, etc.
Ability to read basic drawings/specs and ask the right questions
CRM comfort (or at least the discipline to track pipeline and follow-ups)
Soft skills that matter here

Compensation
Competitive base + commission / performance incentives based on experience and results. Company vehicle.
