Role Description:
The Senior Repair Technician will primarily focus on repairing and calibrating electronic test and measurement equipment, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and repairs at the component level. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and experience working with industry-standard equipment. This is a full-time role designed for an individual passionate about quality service and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electronic test and measurement equipment to component level.
Perform calibrations in compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
Prepare accurate calibration and repair documentation, including certificates and reports.
Collaborate with the calibration team to develop procedures for new equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and manage calibration tools and equipment.
Provide technical support to customers and the internal sales team.
Assist with technical evaluation of new contracts and provide recommendations.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards for both in-house and on-site activities.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic repair.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic circuits.
Familiarity with industry-standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
Experience working in an ISO 17025-accredited environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of metrology and calibration processes.
Proficiency in using calibration software like Fluke Met/Cal or similar tools is an asset.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
