Job Description

MDM Mechanical is looking for an energetic, punctual, and knowledgeable individual to join our team. We are a small family-owned-and-operated company who has been in the industry for over 15 years. This position is a regular, part-time/full-time position that services Hamilton, Ontario and the surrounding area. We are looking to hire immediately.

Qualifications

313D HVAC Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanics considered a bonus Previous extensive experience in the field Gas Technician 2 License (G2) Gas Technician 1 License (G1) considered a bonus Valid G driver's license with clean driver abstract Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking) Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate Working at Heights Certificate Clean criminal record check

Position Details

The service technician will be reporting directly to the owner, or the senior service technician. The technician is expected to work closely with the team on repairs, installations, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance of hydronic, heating, cooling, and gas systems. You will be required to work Monday - Friday as well as the occasional weekend.

Experience related requirements

Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment and individually Capable of working effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines, and handling emergencies Ability to repair and replace small/large piping Cut, thread, solder, braze and press piping systems Service, repair and install residential and commercial boilers Service and repair HVAC equipment such as: MUA, RTU, unit heaters, tube heaters, fans, belts, motors and pumps Radiator work, baseboard heaters, air handlers Commercial water heaters and storage tanks Variable frequency drive experience would be considered a bonus*
Steam boiler experience would be considered a bonus*
Experience with ductless mini-split heat pumps and split heat pump systems
