Your Role: HVAC Team Lead Specialist



We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled

HVAC Technician

to lead an on-site HVAC team and who is open to

relocating to Calgary

. The ideal candidate must have comprehensive, hands-on expertise in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with a particular emphasis on sheet metal work (Metal Sheet). The candidate should possess proven leadership experience in managing HVAC teams, coordinating workflows, and ensuring project completion in line with quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate may be encouraged to bring along a trusted HVAC assistant to form an efficient and reliable working duo.

Your Role:



Lead and supervise HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair activities on-site. Perform complex HVAC system installations, including sheet metal cutting, fitting, and assembly. Plan, design, and coordinate the routing and installation of ductwork and HVAC communication lines. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and HVAC system specifications. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations. Allocate tasks, mentor junior technicians, and provide on-the-job training. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other construction teams. Maintain accurate project documentation, including time tracking, materials used, and project progress. Ensure timely completion of tasks within budget and project timelines. Proactively identify potential risks or delays and provide practical solutions.

What We're Looking For:



Education and Certifications:



Vocational or technical education in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Valid HVAC certification (EPA, F-Gas, or local equivalent).

Experience:



Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and system troubleshooting. Proven experience working with sheet metal (cutting, shaping, fitting) for HVAC ductwork. Minimum 2 years of experience in a team leadership, supervisory, or crew management role. Prior experience managing HVAC teams on construction or renovation projects is highly desirable. Experience working with a personal HVAC assistant or building/leading small teams is a strong advantage.
