ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Located in the heart of Victoria, this real estate management company is a well-known name on the market and looking to grow their team due to consistent growth! Their numerous projects including residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments has made them a well-known name within this industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant, to manage a portfolio and be an integral part of the team, within an established property management company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Controller, the property accountant will be responsible for:

• Full cycle accounting for assigned portfolio
• Produce monthly and quarterly variance analysis reports for a commercial portfolio of properties
• Prepare monthly operational reporting packages
• Complete year end operating cost adjustments and tenant billing within defined timelines.
• preparation of annual corporate tax returns for multiple entities.
• Record cash receipts
• Prepare GST reconciliation and remittances
• Develop a strong understanding of the company's income-producing property portfolio
• Review and process cash distributions.
• Assist where possible in mentoring the development of other team members through informal discussions.

REQUIREMENTS

• CPA Designation or in process of, or relevant work experience in a full cycle property management firm
• 3+ years experience within a property management firm is strongly desired
• Exposure to Yardi or Microsoft NAV is considered an asset

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

COMPENSATION

• Competitive dependent on experience - My client is open to negotiation dependant on people's experience
