We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager (Senior PM) to join the Wet Weather Flow Reduction (WWFR) team!

Purpose and Scope: The Senior PM is responsible for the procurement and delivery of Wet Weather Flow Reduction projects at Civica and is ultimately responsible for maintaining revenue and sales targets, resource management and planning, client and project management, and project delivery within the team.
Reporting Relationships
: Reports to the Business Unit Leader (BUL).
Responsibilities:

  • Delegation, coordination, and oversight of technical work for Project Analysts within the WWFR group.
  • Task leadership on Servicing Incentive Program (SIP) and Sustainable Development Incentive Program (SDIP) projects, as well as general flow monitoring and associated professional consulting and services projects, and/or tasks, ensuring completion of work on-time and on-budget.
  • Managing resource allocation and time approvals, as well as working with Finance to develop and send invoices and follow up on A/R as appropriate.
  • Serving as a technical resource during liaison with private developers, municipal/agency staff and other stakeholders.
  • Writing/reviewing technical reports to document analyses.
  • Responsibility for the quality of written, technical and graphical work completed by Project Analysts.
  • Review flow and rainfall monitoring data to assess sewer system performance, investigate deficiencies and generate/evaluate feasible remedial solutions.
  • Plan, commission, manage, undertake field investigations in support of sanitary sewers evaluation surveys (SSES).
  • As necessary, prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
  • Prepare agencies applications for approvals and coordinate with approval agencies.
  • Contribute to proposal development work as directed by the Business Unit Leader.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Experience Requirements:
  • Registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as a P.Eng. or working toward this designation.
  • Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of applicable experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a project management capacity.
  • Client engagement and business development skills are mandatory.
  • Sound knowledge in Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) reduction strategies, flow and rainfall monitoring, SSES, hydraulic & hydrologic modelling, and analyses.
  • Familiarity with DataCurrent, Visual OTTHYMO (VO), ArcGIS, CAD, InfoWorks and other related SWMM platforms.
  • Excellent written and oral communication to provide support on studies and technical reports, proposals, conference presentations and with client relations.
  • Commitment to client satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality work products.
  • Organized and self-motivated individual with initiative and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.

Working Conditions: Normal working hours under the hybrid office approach (in-office and remote work). May be required to deal with difficult clients, homeowners, or contractors. Will likely be under tight deadlines, and may be required to work overtime to meet deadlines. The incumbent must maintain confidentiality and standards of conduct, work well alone, under supervision, under pressure and be flexible and respectful.
