About the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will have opportunity to develop and apply your advanced project management and product development principles, theories and techniques in the delivery of critical cardiology products in a regulated environment. Working with senior and leadership staff, you will assist in the initiation and running of department and corporate projects and programs. You will contribute directly to achieving and maintaining a world-class capability within Access Solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • As the leader of a full dedicated project, you are expected to:
  • Identify project goals, objectives, fit into the organization, direction and set a clear vision.
  • Empower you project team by clearly setting expectations related to quality, performance, behavior and ensuring the team works effectively.
  • Establish good communication practices with team members including outside vendors.
  • Mentor project staff and less senior project managers in the application of the PMBOK and different development practices
  • As a project manager you are expected to take ownership in the project by:
  • Generating a vision and moving forward with passion.
  • Working with functional and senior managers to obtain the necessary project resources.
  • Setting up the project organization for sustaining the project\'s development effort.
  • Looking for creative ways through use of divergent/convergent thinking when dealing with change requests, bottlenecks, process improvements, and project variances.
  • As a project manager you are expected to provide:
  • Resolution to all cross-functional management issues affecting the project such as priority settings between conflicting groups.
  • Single point of contact for ensuring conflict resolution, vendor/supplier management, project communications, and team building.
  • As a project manager you are responsible for working with the project team to ensure:
  • The project\'s deliverables will meet the scope, time, quality and cost constraints set out for the project while using Access Solution\'s New Product Introduction processes.
  • The development of project documentation such as Patient requirements, specifications, business cases, development proposal, project charter, schedules, budgets, estimates, team procedures, and forecasts.
  • Further expand and refine the organizations capability in both project management and product development by introducing new techniques and refining existing techniques.
  • As a project manager you are responsible for all forms of project administration which includes:
  • Meetings: status, reviews, post postmortem.
  • Reporting: weekly, monthly, vendors.
  • Schedule/budget monitoring and analysis.
  • Managing effectively priority setting and staff interaction.
  • Looking for ways to reduce and improve project administration.
  • Reporting project status to the Access Solution\'s Senior Leadership team.
  • Demonstrate company values, work with integrity, and be a supportive corporate member.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
  • Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required - BASc, BSc or BComm, accompanied by technical background
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with small to large projects ranging from 500k$ to 10M$
  • Time to market with quality
  • Mature problem-solving ability
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA and/or PMP certification
  • Experience in the medical device industry
