Your Opportunity:

The Implementation Lead, Connect Care, provides leadership and clinical expertise for the development, implementation, evaluation, optimization, and operational support for a major clinical technology project in the Edmonton Zone, focusing on AMH, including inpatient, ambulatory, and recovery/detox departments. The Implementation Lead is responsible for facilitation and problem resolution between site management, business units, clinical stakeholders, and Information Technology (IT) project executive/management staff and vendors. The incumbent's role is lead for identified divisions and associated programs within the Edmonton Zone and, with some opportunity to support ongoing work in future waves of Connect Care implementation.

Description:

The purpose of the position is to ensure that this major clinical technology project is planned and executed in a manner that proactively identifies and supports the resolution of design and implementation issues, thereby optimizing the value of the system, obtaining user acceptance and adoption and minimizing potential rework and ineffectiveness. The incumbent ensures site plans and activities conform to the approved project's scope, timeline and budget and coordinates the available site, Zone and provincial resources as required. The incumbent will also support the alignment of the Connect Care project with the sum of all additional projects which may have overlapping timelines and demands on the associated divisions and programs. A key focus of the position is to improve the delivery of clinical care and services which involve clinical stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and related service areas/departments across diverse environments across AMH throughout the Zone. As the Implementation Lead for this clinical informatics initiative, the incumbent works with a high degree of independence and must utilize a highly collaborative and integrated consultative approach in all aspects of the role. There is a significant need to conceptualize, organize and manage resources, individual staff and teams across the campus to aid in these efforts.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate Degree in a healthcare profession, healthcare management or business administration. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Active professional license as appropriate Additional Required Qualifications:

A broad understanding of the health care system operational issues, and broad knowledge of operations/planning. Successful leadership experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change in previous project management, process improvement projects. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to inspire and build confidence in others, support negotiations, resolve conflict and solve problems. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships in with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills client/ patient focused and commitment to providing quality services. Experience in coordinating improvement projects or teams, complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, developing formal reports and presenting to stake holders. Knowledge of health performance/utilization data. Advanced technical skills working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project). Knowledge of computer technology, office and clinical information systems applications. Analytical and conceptual skills to interpret and consolidate diverse and complex information. Time management, organizational skills. Project management skills and knowledge to oversee project work plans. Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working within the Addiction Mental Health program would be an asset.
