About the Role

ESW Building Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical

Senior Estimator

to join our expanding team. In this position, you'll take the lead on preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate enjoys diving into project details, collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring estimates support project goals and profitability.

What You'll Be Doing

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, from start to finish. Use software like

HeavyBid

and

Bluebeam

to build pricing models and proposals. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential gaps, risks, or discrepancies. Work closely with project managers and internal teams to ensure estimates align with project objectives. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing. Negotiate terms and carefully review bids to ensure accuracy and value. Keep organized records of estimates, revisions, and communications throughout the bidding process. Support project scheduling and timelines as needed. Attend project meetings to provide updates and contribute to decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in construction estimating or a similar role. Proficiency with estimating software (

HeavyBid

,

Bluebeam

, or similar). Strong negotiation and communication skills with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Ability to handle multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines. Familiarity with project management practices is an asset. A construction or engineering background is preferred but not required.
