Senior Product Lead

Toronto, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

What's the Opportunity?

RBC Insurance is modernizing how clients and partners receive communications. We're hiring a Senior Product Lead to drive the strategy and execution for enterprise-wide communications and document delivery. You'll define the vision and roadmap for unified communications, ensuring solutions are scalable, desirable, privacy-compliant, and integrated across every channel. This role blends experience innovation with technical execution. You'll shape the strategic vision for how communications are designed, delivered, and experienced, while also overseeing squads to execute against the roadmap. Success means delivering communications that are consistent, trusted, and client-centric and ensuring the platforms that enable them are resilient, modern, and scalable. You'll partner closely with engineering, architecture, product, strategy, design, marketing, and vendors to shape the next generation of the RBC Insurance communications ecosystem.

What will you do?

Define and own the product vision and roadmap for communications -- ensuring every message and document is unified, consistent, and trusted across channels Develop a deep understanding of RBC Insurance's technical architecture and system landscape, ensuring communications strategy accounts for all platforms, integrations, and dependencies Partner with design strategists, designers, and marketing teams to reimagine how communications are experienced by clients, advisors, MGAs, and partners, blending compliance with simplicity and clarity. Translate strategic vision into technical execution: orchestration engines, APIs, identity/consent systems, and cloud delivery platforms Lead one or more cross-functional squads to execute against the roadmap -- ensuring delivery is iterative, measurable, and aligned to business outcomes Shape the future of document management -- metadata-rich inventories, standardized templates, and compliant archival to improve auditability and efficiency Engage in continuous discovery with research and testing to improve communications strategy and implementation Govern consent and preferences, integrating opt-in/opt-out logic and data residency compliance to protect client choice and reduce regulatory risk Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver dashboards and optimization loops, ensuring communications are continuously improving in effectiveness and customer experience Partner with vendors and suppliers to evaluate solutions, negotiate capabilities, and ensure platform choices align with long-term strategy Represent the communications domain in enterprise governance and transformation forums -- securing alignment, investment, and prioritization across the organization Occasional travel to the RBC Insurance Mississauga office may be required
