The kind of work you\'d be doing:
As a Product Designer at Think Research, you\xe2\x80\x99ll put user experience first. You\xe2\x80\x99ll touch every part of the design process, developing your ideas and solutions from beginning to end \xe2\x80\x93 from user research to wireframing, to designing high-fidelity user interfaces, to iteratively testing your ideas \xe2\x80\x93 all in the pursuit to build amazing products for patients and clinicians.
This includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Drive the evolution of Think Research\xe2\x80\x99s product suite across multiple devices with patient-safety always at the forefront
  • Work through the end-to-end design process on everything from features and improvements to entirely new products, translating complex user needs into intuitive experiences
  • Gather data from users through interviews, usability tests and digital tools, create and validate hypotheses regarding product design solutions, rapidly iterate on your ideas, and deliver product features and improvements that users will love
  • Gather insights from qualitative and quantitative metrics as well as client feedback to drive improvements that solve user problems and increase usability
  • Actively build empathy for the users of your products and embody their motivations, needs and pain points; represent your users when presenting ideas and solutions to team members and stakeholders
  • Solve core product problems while owning all facets of a user experience (strategy, IA, interaction design and research)
  • Help level-up the design thinking of the entire organization
  • Lead by example by sharing your wireframes early and often with other designers, developers and project stakeholders
  • Facilitate and collaborate with others, taking a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams from across the organization (product, engineering, client success, business development, R&D, etc.)

  • You\xe2\x80\x99re user-focused and have built your career gaining a deep empathy for the users of your products. You understand complex workflows, test and challenge your assumptions, continuously incorporate feedback, and can translate into simplified user experiences
  • You are a strong communicator (both written and verbal, in 1-on-1s, group meetings, and online critiques), and can present complex ideas clearly and support your decisions with thoughtful rationales
  • You use a user-centered design process which includes research, ideation, iteration and validation; you know when to apply the right methodology to the problem at hand
  • You actively seek feedback from different stakeholders at all stages in the design process, knowing that feedback will only make your work stronger
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re not intimidated by unstructured environments and steep learning curves; they motivate and push you to learn and work smarter

Requirements:
  • Self-starter with 4+ years of product design experience shipping B2B and/or B2C products for web and mobile (experience in healthcare is a huge bonus)
  • Proficiency with our current design tool, Figma
  • Ability to communicate interactions and requirements during handoffs to development
  • Experience working with clients directly, formulating user pain points and company goals
  • Understanding development effort involved in creating your designs
  • Strong understanding of critical thinking, design process and principles as demonstrated in a portfolio of live projects
  • Experience with contributing to or creating design systems to speed up design & development

Ideal Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment
  • Experience working with and implementing WCAG Accessibility Standards
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3 to provide a technical lens to your designs
  • Insight into how design can/should be implemented using correct code and components
  • Ability to create motion and animations using Figma
  • Experience using tools like Jira, Google Apps, Fullstory and Whimsical
