The Senior Product Consultant will work as a member of the Health Product Development team, supporting new/ongoing health solution initiatives. This work includes supporting the development and execution of product strategy and roadmaps, implementation of new features or enhancements, and facilitating the development of processes, tools, and technology solutions to support the evolving design of our solutions. Utilizes professional concepts and company/ departmental/product objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Collaborate within the Product Team, and with other key stakeholders, in evaluating and delivering new product features and functionality.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Health Product Team to iteratively and quickly deliver product functionality that accomplishes pre-defined goals, assisting in the development and monitoring of objectives and key results
  • Estimate time frames, key milestones and supporting tasks, and resources required to successfully complete activities to develop project plans, monitor progress against plan, identifying risks and adjust project variables as needed
  • Collaborate with and/or lead cross-functional team members to develop technology and operational processes in support of new/existing products and solutions, helping integrated teams prepare for launches or relaunches
  • Serve as a key partner with the IT organizational to ensure that application solutions are appropriate to meet product needs, assisting in the prioritization of new technology features or enhancements, development of user stories, providing feedback on system configuration, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a Product Handbook(s) documenting product value proposition, features, functionality, guardrails/exclusions, compliance requirements, supporting processes, links to reference documentation created and maintained by other teams (such as Marketing, Sales Enablement, Underwriting, etc.), planned roadmap initiatives, and other key content
  • Partner with Marketing, Learning & Development, the Go-to-Market team and others, to ensure that training content is accurate and effective

  • Ability to work with a diverse range of people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to influence and negotiate with those who may have competing priorities/interests
  • Skill in facilitating remote / agile meetings with internal, and at times, external parties
  • Ability to take often nebulous concepts and develop documentation to support their review and prioritization
  • Skill in developing and managing project plans and deliverables involving key stakeholders outside of the Product Development Team
  • Enjoyment in being involved in all parts of the product development life cycle - from discovery, analysis, testing right up to release planning
  • Self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • An ability to think creatively to resolve, routine, complex and/or non-routine issues
  • Capable of building strong relationships, and maneuvering initiatives through matrixed organizations


Required Experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in developing operational solutions and partnering within a matrixed organization in support of product management/development initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations for a variety of internal audiences
  • Experience in a health-related field, such as care delivery, health plans, etc. preferred
  • Experience working in an agile product/technology environment preferred

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $86,000-$129,000 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $101,600-$152,400 annually.

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as a broad range of competitive benefits.
