Join us in delivering sustainable wastewater management, integrating your innovative ideas into projects that make an impact.As a part of our continued growth, our AECOM Winnipeg, MB office has an opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer/Project Manager to assist in the delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant projects. We are seeking a candidate who is a registered Professional Engineer with at least 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience related specifically to construction management of alternative delivery projects, and municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure engineering.You will have a successful track record in managing large infrastructure projects including the design and construction phases of municipal infrastructure. You will work in a team environment with intermediate and senior engineers to deliver advanced water and wastewater treatment projects to our client base in Manitoba.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage construction phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget; Construction management and supervision of alternative delivery models is an important part of the position.
  • Design of water/ wastewater infrastructure including the mechanical and biological systems.
  • Manage job safety at all times.
  • Responsible for regular project progress reports to the clients and AECOM Managers.
  • Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical and client challenges, determining technical objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for technical activities and applications.
  • Stays abreast of industry standards and approaches and implements best practices.
  • Engage, hands-on, in the technical execution of client assignments through to successful project completion.
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, planning studies and design reports
  • Ensure project work is undertaken is accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems
  • Mentoring junior staff
QualificationsMinimum Requirements :
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering + 8years of experience with municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Registration or ability to obtain professional registration with a provisional Engineering Association
  • Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional client care and service delivery skills.
  • Experience in working with geographically dispersed project teams that have successfully delivered major design projects within budget and on schedule
  • Experience leading and developing multi discipline project teams that may reside in multiple offices and in multiple countries
  • 15+ years of progressive experience including minimum of 5 years in a project management or lead designer role.
  • Proven project management skills including PM certifications.
