iA Financial Group is looking for a Senior project portfolio manager to join our APMO (Agile Project Management Office) to support our corporate sector. Reporting to APMO management, you will be part of a portfolio management team and will have to collaborate with a variety of people with complementary expertise, such as project managers, project controllers and performance analysts. You\'ll be involved in applying Lean-agile portfolio management processes and standards. You will play a key role in prioritizing initiatives that contribute to the realization of iA Financial Group\'s strategies, enabling us to maintain a roadmap and provide strategic portfolio reporting to the appropriate bodies.

Your day to day

Prioritization and portfolio management

  • Share requests and needs with the portfolio team to ensure a consolidated view.
  • Actively participate in strategic prioritization activities to build and update a request log and roadmap within agreed parameters (e.g. budget, schedule, scope, benefits and expected value).
  • Execute portfolio lifecycle stages in accordance with agreed parameters.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure alignment with the portfolio\'s strategic planning and consequent achievement of the organization\'s strategic objectives.
  • Accompany, monitor and support managers and their teams in the preparation of strategic business cases and Lean Business Cases.
Process
  • Ensure that the portfolio complies with the standards set by the Portfolio Management Office and the various authorities.
  • Collaborate on a regular basis with all portfolio stakeholders -- both Business and IT -- to resolve prioritization conflicts, identify potential discrepancies with the proposed roadmap, and assist in the development of contingency plans.
  • Contribute to the sound execution of cross-functional processes and identify opportunities to improve their efficiency.
  • Participate proactively in the application of and compliance with established standards to ensure the presence, integrity and quality of portfolio data.
Monitoring and reporting
  • Create reports and views providing visibility on the portfolio in order to produce consolidated accountability enabling managers to make strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to providing the data that feeds the performance indicators of our cross-functional portfolio management processes.
  • Provide the information needed to prepare the investment envelopes associated with the various portfolios and to set up the required monitoring mechanisms.
  • Provide the necessary support for the execution of the budget, audit and profit tracking processes.
  • Represent APMO in various forums and participate in multi-sectoral round tables.
Your background and skills
  • DEC or BAC in computer science, administration or other relevant training at the same level
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years\' experience in a portfolio management role
  • In-depth knowledge of project and portfolio management
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and priority management skills
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders at various management levels in their decision-making processes
  • Excellent French and English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners.
  • Knowledge of finance and insurance (asset).
  • Mastery of large-scale agility, in particular the SAFe\xc2\xae framework (an asset).
