Strengthen Ontario's health innovation ecosystem and help modernize health sector supply chain





Are you a strategic policy leader ready to drive innovation in healthcare? The Ministry is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to play a pivotal role in fostering health innovation and modernizing the health sector supply chain in Ontario. As part of the Health Innovation Policy Branch (HIPB), you will help lead the Health Innovation Pathway, a streamlined system to accelerate the adoption of new health technologies and improve patient care. You will develop forward-thinking strategies, policies, and legislative frameworks that support health innovation and supply chain modernization and transformation in the province.



In this high-impact role, you'll shape initiatives that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and resilience across the province's health innovation and supply chain system--ensuring better outcomes for patients, providers, and the broader health system. In this role, you will:

Lead research, analysis, and development of strategies, policies, programs, and regulations to advance health innovation and modernize Ontario's health supply chain. Identify and coordinate opportunities that promote supply chain transformation across the province. Plan and manage projects supporting policy development and operational guidelines. Provide expert advice to senior management on health innovation and supply chain modernization challenges and opportunities.

What you bring to the team

Health Care Knowledge




You have:

Demonstrated understanding of socio-economic factors and legislation affecting provincial health care Familiarity with provincial strategies, context and ecosystem for health sector supply chain management and health innovation Knowledge of health care delivery models, funding, governance, and key issues to align policies with government objectives

Policy and Program Development Knowledge




You have:


An understanding of provincial government decision-making, accountability, legislative approval, and allocation processes to guide policy and program development Demonstrated knowledge of policy development principles Demonstrated knowledge of research principles and methodologies supporting policy development

Project and Program Management Skills




You have:


Proven expertise in project management to plan and oversee policy/program review and development The ability to deliver projects from concept to completion while meeting deadlines Demonstrated knowledge of program design and management, business planning and risk management

Communication and Interpersonal Skills




You can:

Effectively respond to issues, provide recommendations, and prepare reports using standard office tools
oLead and present briefings on complex analyses, including briefing notes, Cabinet submissions, and options papers oEffectively lead consultations, negotiations, facilitation and consensus building to advance policy analysis, development and implementation


Communicate effectively with a wide range of government and stakeholder audiences
