We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist on our global HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will process full-cycle payroll for approximately 300 full-time and 50 seasonal employees in Canada, USA, and Australia, and provide oversight to the Brazilian payroll of approximately 80 employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for the Canadian, US and Australian business units
• Provides back up support for administration of employee benefits and retirement plans
• Prepares reports for payroll, including budgeting
• Works closely with the Finance team with day-to-day payroll and annual payroll audits
• Prepares and reconciles YTD earnings and deductions for year end reporting (T4, W2, etc)
• Prepares year end reporting for government regulatory organizations (WCB, MB Health and Education, etc)
• Manages and maintains regulatory compliance
• Manages, monitors, and implements required Team Member changes within the Human Resource Management System
• Ensures accurate data record keeping in Team Member database relating to rates of pay, position, department classification, and so on
• Maintains integrity of organizational chart as changes occur
• Maintains the electronic Team Member files on all payroll information
• Works closely with the HR team on special projects
• Other duties as assigned

This role could be a good fit for you if you have:

• 5+ years experience in a focused payroll position.Training will be provided for international payroll responsibilities!
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or other similar designation preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Human Resource Management Systems, and an aptitude for finding technology-based solutions to day-to-day challenges. Experience with UKG Pro will be considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight and recurring timelines, with an aptitude for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
