We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Payroll Administrator

to oversee timely, accurate payroll processing across multiple provinces and business lines. In this role, you'll serve as a key subject-matter expert, supporting payroll policy development, driving process improvements, and resolving complex payroll challenges. This position is ideal for someone who brings exceptional attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a strong commitment to service excellence.

What You'll Be Doing



Overseeing bi-weekly and weekly payroll cycles, including audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reviewing payroll data, troubleshooting discrepancies, and managing off-cycle payments, ROEs, and manual adjustments. Preparing and posting payroll journal entries while supporting general ledger activities and account reconciliations. Auditing timesheets, resolving system variances, and ensuring adherence to provincial and federal legislative requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries; partnering with HR teams to address data and process issues. Preparing recurring and ad-hoc payroll reports; leading quarter-end and year-end payroll tasks, including WCB, EHT, and related reconciliations. Supporting payroll system updates, including new pay codes, wage changes, workflows, and policy rollouts. Leading audit deliverables, maintaining payroll training documentation, and mentoring junior payroll team members. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall service delivery.

What You Must Have



Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

5+ years of progressive payroll experience.

PCP designation required.

Strong proficiency in payroll systems (Dayforce experience is a strong asset). In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements across multiple provinces. Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and coach junior team members. A proactive, analytical, and detail-driven approach to problem-solving.
