Responsibilities

  • Junior: What you'll do:
  • Advising on Murex best practices in the P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting and financial reporting.
  • Contributing to client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements and performing quality assurance tests.
  • Providing client support including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities.
  • Communicating development needs to the Murex product development team
  • Providing internal and external training. Who you are:
  • Ideal candidate is someone with 2-3 years' experience in capital markets technology.
  • The candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles under IFRS or US GAAP. Knowledge of hedge accounting is a plus.
  • Preferable experience includes supporting either trading, treasury or accounting at banks or other financial institutions or has experience with other fintech vendors.
  • Strong academic background in accounting, engineering or a math-based discipline (math, operations research, statistics etc.)
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, and basic programming is a plus. Senior: What you'll do:
  • Advising on Best Practices: Provide guidance on Murex best practices in P&L processes, accounting, hedge accounting, position management, and financial reporting. Client-Site Implementations: Lead all trading designers during an implementation or upgrade; gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements, and performing quality assurance tests.
  • Client Support: Manage open issues and support upgrade activities.
  • Communication: Handle the relationship with the product team in one area of expertise and assist in building the product roadmap for the region.
  • Documentation and Training: Provide internal and external documentation and training Who you are:
  • Experience: The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of experience in capital markets technology. Proven client-facing experience in a support or project implementation role, preferably in trading or risk management solutions in financial institutions.
  • Academic Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a master's in financial engineering, Applied Finance/Statistics/Mathematics, or Computational Finance.
  • Problem-Solving: Systematic problem solver with critical thinking abilities.
  • Communication: Strong presenter and effective communicator.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, SQL, and basic programming.
SKILLS
Must have
  • - Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, COM, EQD, FXD, FXMM - Good understanding of accounting principals, accounting rules, ledger, and account balances - Good working knowledge of Murex Accounting knowledge - Strong understanding of Back Office functions as well as processing - Strong functional and technical understanding on the settlement instructions - Good knowledge of the different post-trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providers - Good understanding of OSP (open settlement protocol - Open Settlement Protocol (OSP) is a client-server protocol that manages access control, accounting, usage data and inter-domain routing to make it easier for Internet service providers (ISPs) to support IP telephony), Workflows, Operations, Fixings process, Confirmations, and Trade Life Cycle Must: - 2+ years' experience with Murex - Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills - Be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter - Possess good verbal and written communication skills - Must have strong organization skills - Strong SQL, Unix , Scripting , Sybase and Oracle skills be of high interest to us.
Nice to have
BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent - Implementations and upgrades - Test management - Trade life cycle management - Market Data management - Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus - Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress-tests, back-testing) - Client focus: understands clients' businesses; identifies and understands the needs and objectives of clients, both on an individual and corporate basis; builds strong relationships to aid Luxoft aim of being a trusted partner to the clients. - Communication skills: expresses ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing; adjusts language, terminology and non-verbal communication as appropriate. - Teamwork: works effectively with others; helps to build strong teams and networks. - Personal leadership: realistically identifies own skills, experience, knowledge and other personal attributes; displays confidence and resilience. - Planning and organizing: identifies and meets milestones; understands and articulates deliverables; assesses and mitigates risks; sticks to the scope of work and manages any changes. - Analytical decision-making: identifies and solves problems using insight and experience to make good decisions; gathers relevant information, identifying important issues and drawing conclusions.
