Who you are!

A self-starting Senior Mortgage Underwriter that wants to join our Calgary office. You love winning, and getting paid to do it.

Eyes like a hawk and the adaptability of an octopus - keen attention to detail as well as a demonstrated willingness to pivot and problem solve.

You work well in a team-oriented environment and show willingness to take on tasks as needed. You appreciate a chance to take on special projects and showcase your strengths. The Mortgage Underwriter is an evolving role - it is never a dull moment around here!

Responsibilities:

Analyze and decision mortgage applications within established lending criteria Communicate and liaise with all parties (internal and external) involved in the completion of each mortgage transaction Continually monitor and accurately maintain the mortgage application queue Ensure broker expectations and timelines are met Manage execution of the mortgage commitment including focus on resolving any outstanding conditions prior to funding Reviewing client documentation and mortgage conditions
Skills Required:

You enjoy building relationships, using your integrity, candour, and professionalism to win anyone over You can use Microsoft Office Suite in your sleep. Exceptionally organized and meticulous. Fluent in verbal and written English. 3-5 years mortgage underwriting experience

Salary

: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 depending on qualifications, plus yearly bonus based on KPI's.

Reporting To: Chief Risk Officer

Full-Time/Part- Time: Full-time

Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. preferred, though negotiable

Office Location: Calgary - great location! Affordable parking and steps away from Southland c-train station

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
