The candidate will be part of a mechanical and electrical design team where they will be expected to provide leadership and mentorship to the team and work independently with attention to detail on projects of varying size and complexity for infrastructures in health care, municipal, commercial, defence, institutional and industrial applications. Your Contribution:

• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the various team members
• Assist in developing, planning, organizing, and carrying the design of various mechanical projects
• Verifying drawings and specifications
• Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, proposals, and presentations
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
• Assist with site Investigations and studies
• Attend project meetings with Clients and other design team members
• Coordinate with other design disciplines
• Participate in internal and external project meetings
• Carry out and assist with field inspection
• Dealing with clients, contractors and suppliers in the positive promotion of the firm
• Project management tasks as required

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
• Immediate eligibility for P.Eng. registration with Engineers Nova Scotia
• A minimum of 15 years of relative experience
• Must be eligible for clearance through the Government of Canada. Ideally at a secret level but at minimum reliability level.
• Experience with Defence projects in the consulting industry would be an asset
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, bilingual (French) would be an asset
• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Attention to detail while multi-tasking
• An understanding of product results
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills that will allow you to work on numerous projects concurrently, and update reoccurring tasks
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to produce well‑written reports and technical specifications
• Ability to work in a team environment
