Your role:

As part of the continuous Product Improvement Team Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Track systems, the selected person will participate to manage engineering activities on current products under his responsibility. This includes managing product improvement to resolve performance/durability issues, warranty issues and customer request. The person is also responsible to support the development and implementation of some of the cost reduction ideas as well as business continuity projects.

We need you for:
  • Lead the development and improvement of track systems for agricultural equipment manufacturers (OEM);
  • Technically guide its collaborators (engineers and designers) in product design;
  • Perform calculations and analyzes to validate concepts and write analysis and test reports;
  • Be accountable for failure mode analysis (DFMEA) for the products under his responsibility;
  • Define and ensure the execution of validation plans;
  • Conduct design reviews: internal, with client and suppliers;
  • Support engineering exchanges with customers and suppliers;
  • Review and approve engineering drawings;
  • Ensure the monitoring of product costs (costs vs performance);
  • Design and model different concepts of tracked systems (3D modeling);
  • Participate in the production and validation of prototypes;
  • Identify and implement necessary improvements to the product throughout the development process.
What do you need to possess for being successful?
  • You have a bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience in product development, from ideation to production;
  • You are fluent in English and French to communicate with our clients and your international colleagues (written and spoken);
  • You are a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).
  • You have experience in the field of transportation equipment (an asset);
  • You know how to use the mechanical principles and the resistance of materials and have a good knowledge of manufacturing processes by welding, machining and foundry of parts;
  • You master the various engineering processes (PDP) and you know geometric tolerancing as well as the failure mode process analysis method (DFMEA);
  • You master design using 3D software (CREO an asset);
  • You are a motivated, dynamic person, you take initiatives and you have the ability to solve problems using a structured methodology;
  • You know how to carry out several projects simultaneously, manage pressure and several priorities with autonomy;
  • You are a person recognized for his collaboration, problem solving and you take pleasure in helping others;
  • You are available for travel approximately 4 times a year, in order to discuss with your collaborators (mainly in the United States).
