TD IT Architecture covers TD\xe2\x80\x99s overall technology strategy, direction, standards for designing and/or developing an architecture framework including technology architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards to govern how technology solutions will be developed and implemented across the organization. Architects typically develop and maintain any combination of the following: solution and application architecture, infrastructure environment architecture, technical integration architecture, data strategies and models, security and enterprise architecture. About This Role Reporting to the Architecture Practice Lead, and as a member of the DaaS (Data as a Service) Architecture Practice, the Senior IT Architect will be joining a team of highly motivated architects working in an environment of great change and opportunity. We consider data as the lifeblood of the organization, alongside other equally critical IT domains and capabilities which integrate and interact with data systems. DaaS architects provide architecture, strategy, and technology guidance to the NEW (Next Evolution of Work) teams as required. The Senior IT Architect will:

• Be an architecture specialist that works cooperatively and as a leader on highly complex and diverse projects/ issues
• Foresees architecture issues / gaps and identifies emerging industry trends (i.e. future-focused)
• Researches and investigates technology trends that support the lines of business (LoBs)
• Influences corporate direction and integrates technology from an architecture perspective within the business and IT environments
• Works with internal and external customers and IT service providers as needed to ensure compliance with TD Architecture and Security standards
• Works closely with IT managers and teams to complete projects
• Provides recommendations on value-added architectural improvements / enhancements
• Ensure that all projects that are considered architecturally significant are presented properly at the appropriate architecture review boards and any action items received are addressed

Requirements

• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
• Graduate Degree preferred.
• 10+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to serve as the top technical individual expert who can impart knowledge of architecture related to specific domains or broad range of architecture frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, procedures and broader technologies and relevant issues.
• Advanced and highly specialized knowledge of TD applications, programming languages, industry best practices, the business and associated standards, infrastructure and architectural design and solutions and governance.
• Interest and proven ability to work autonomously as an architectural specialist on high profile, complex and high risk technology projects with significant organizational impact.
• Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership, consulting and direction to a larger team on all aspects of architecture to ensure advanced learning occurs.
• Foresight on architectural issues and gaps and can identify emerging industry trends (i.e. future focused).
• Strength in influencing product direction and integrating technology from an architectural perspective within the business environment, and can fulfill an IT governance role.
• Proactive thinking when it comes to providing recommendations on value-added architectural improvements and enhancements.
• Capacity to take on one or more areas of focus (e.g. enterprise, data, application and technology architecture domains).

Technical skills/ Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge on n-Tier architectures, frameworks, and the ability produce conceptual & logical reference architectures. Ability to create Technology strategy artifacts is an asset.
• Experience is creating Current and Future state architecture diagrams & overall Architecture Blueprints
• Experience is assessing and evaluating products, platforms & technologies around customer management, Master Data Management (Customer/Party domain) & Customer C360
• Experience with implementing MDM / Customer 360 solutions and with knowledge of customer data models in various industries (Banking, wealth management & insurance) is desired
• Ability to design and define the various integration patterns for APIs and Realtime Events around operational customer repositories.
• Experience in implementing cloud solution is as asset.
• Experience in presenting to senior architects at review boards & other councils.
• 10+ years of experience as either a solutions architect, integration architect, application architect or enterprise architect (preferably in the customer domain, but not required).
• Knowledge of Financial Services / Banking industry (an asset)
• A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree

Soft skills/ Knowledge:

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present ideas & concepts to a broad audience in a clear and concise manner.
• The qualities of a self-starter (needs to be resourceful), with the ability to lead change and influence technology & business partners
• Is a self -learner and has organizational awareness ( e.g. of processes , procedures , key stakeholders and accountabilities)
• Collaboration/ Teamwork skills that will excel in a matrixed environment
• Requires minimal direction for day-to-day responsibilities.
